Overview

FitCast ("we", "our", "the app") respects your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it.

Data We Collect

Location Data

We access your device location only when you grant permission to provide accurate weather-based outfit suggestions. Your location is sent to Apple WeatherKit to fetch weather data. We do not store your precise location on our servers.

Anonymous Usage Data

We collect anonymous analytics to improve the app, including:

App opens, screen views, and feature usage
Outfit generation events (weather condition, activity type)
Error and crash reports

This data is tied to a randomly generated anonymous ID, not your name or email.

Purchase Data

Subscriptions and in-app purchases are processed by Apple and RevenueCat. We receive confirmation of purchase status but never see your payment details (credit card, Apple ID, etc.).

Push Notification Token

If you allow push notifications, we store your device token to send you outfit reminders and updates. You can disable notifications at any time in iOS Settings.

Data We Do NOT Collect

Your name, email, or phone number (unless you contact us)
Photos or camera data
Contacts or address book
Advertising identifiers (IDFA)

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

Apple WeatherKit — weather data
Firebase — analytics, crash reporting, cloud messaging
RevenueCat — subscription management
OpenAI / Replicate — AI outfit generation (no personal data is sent)

Data Retention

Anonymous analytics data is retained for up to 12 months. Credit usage data is retained as long as your account is active. You can request deletion by contacting us.

Children's Privacy

FitCast is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Your Rights

You can:

Revoke location permission at any time in iOS Settings
Disable push notifications in iOS Settings
Request deletion of your data by emailing us

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
